Where can i find a pill identifier for generic drugs?

besides webmed.com..................... I went to a drug store that i usually dont go to because its near the dr's office. my script was for lamictal 25mg and paxil 10mg i got the generic brands for some reason probably the insurance. I never seen these pills before and the pharmacy is a local one store place so i didnt get a comprehensive sheet about the pill. I typed in my numbers on webmd if i just put the numbers it comes up paxil but when i see the images of the pills none look like mine. same with the lamictal. now I wouldnt normally think something is wrong. but these pills i have are tiny and the pills i use to take were bigger. if i put the numbers from one side and the letters from the other comes up no match. could someone please let me know of a site i can look up these pills? if i call the pharmacy I know they will talk down to me.

  2. They are the same pills, they're just a different brand from and different brands do things differently. So its just appearance wise, everything else is the same. I have the same thing some of my tablets like my naproxin are bright yellow by one brand and bigger, but another brand makes them pale and smaller. Same for my paracetamol, some are flatter and some are round. Nothing to worry about :)
  3. I'm sure it's the same pill, just different manufacturer. Take it to a pharmacy and show the pharmacist. They'll tell you w/o talking you down. I used to be a Pharmacy Tech.
  4. http://www.drugs.com/pill_identification.html Try here. It will ask you the shap, color and any imprints on the pill to help identify it. Hope this helps! Holly RN
  5. Lamictal generic (lamotrigine) just came out this week in the market so online may be not updated yet. But when pharmacy gives you the med. it is not only the insurance thing that makes you to use gen. but also doctor too, unless he specifies dispense as written on the Rx. You can always go back to pharmacy to check again they will show you original bottle or can give you patient insert. Online you can try www.rxlist.com, drugs.com or online.factsandcomparisions.com. Check first what is the name of the company for your drug, as generic is manufactured by different companies with the same name.
  6. for the paxil http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=paroxetine+10mg&btnG=Search+Images for the lamictal http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=lamotrigine+25mg&btnG=Search+Images is a little hard to find images of generic brands, but take a look, if you don't find yours, call the pharmacy, don't take the pill if your are not sure, hope this help
